it rots
so you gotta hustle
and I mean hustle
maka da hay while the sun shines
you hit the phones early
and you put on your selling shoes
first thing
millions of dollars happen
over the phone
without even a hand shake
while most of the world sleeps
we
bring to your grocer
lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, strawberries
just take a little walk down
the produce aisle
and think about the men and women
who work their butt!s off to put it there
from the ground to your table

and it aint easy
oh yeah I’ve tried other stuff
did some insurance (boring)
friend wants me to hit the real estate scene
but
this business
is in my blood
these people that I talk to
day in a day out
are My people
we have a different lingo
we are a different breed
we eat sleep and drink produce
I have a cell phone in my hand always
just in case
a truck gets stuck here there or anywhere
my job
to get it moving
to you
not life and death
but hey if you don’t deliver
there’s always another hot dog waiting in the wings
