Okay and it reminds me of the fleamarkets that I go to. In that everyone has their hands out for the tax but no one thinks to pay it at the flea markets.

This is a well written, thought provoking write, Ronald. I work on the other side of this issue and I have to say, the way the tax structure is now, the high cost of benefits for employees, overhead in costly supplies and the soaring salary costs, the profit margin, especially for small business, is dwindling. Laws make it difficult if not impossible to cut back without layoffs. We are constantly struggling to stay abreast of the soaring costs of running a business.

Excellent questions Ronald. Though I'm afraid the answers wouldn't please anyone, since they aren't going to help the situation. We are engaged in helping other people become democratized and that takes all of our domestic resources leaving us with the bare bones economy we have. If it were an all out war like in WW2...that would make us boom,but this kind of terrorism fight, does nothing but drain us dry. That's why we now have to hope and pray we get some more nations to help or find a way out soon.There are other reasons too of course, but none that reaches the impact of the one I put forth.

I would like to hope that we are learning..but only time will tell the real truth.
I just have to wonder if any of us will be around long to get the answers.

The only thing learned from the past is how to screw more "low on the totem pole workers", fortunately I just got hired at a great company, LAB CORP, they seem interested in keeping their employees happy and well taken care of...just have one more month to get thru the 90 day probationary period, then hopefully I will have it made...Keep smiling the best you can, Ron...as a poet you will never be out of work...Ed & Rufuz
