Some people are meant to wax poetic
I am not
I merely write down
what I see and feel and hear and smell
and know
I can’t pretend to wax poetic
I know that
but
it
doesn’t stop me
from
wanting to
I
want to write
stuff
that is beautiful
something with
depth
and innuendos
and
syrupy
fall off your tongue
and
into your heart
striking a chord of recognition
in the souls
of strangers
something
someone
somewhere
might read
and say
oh
that moves me
I want that a part of my life
it is
a part of my life
poetic wax
This is an old piece previously posted on this site as Poetic Wax, I fiddled with it a bit, but it was one of the first that I felt held some sort of promise for this poetic soul o mine, and a long time favorite, that calls me back time and again to remember it is ok to speak in My voice.

I haven't a clue what you are talking about, you are one of the best.
It's like a quilt of many hues and patterns all woven together, each one of us different, but none less meaningful than the other. I wouldn't like the quilt as much if your pattern was missing;-)
