you speak
words
that melt
in
me
soft things gentle soothing
to an injured spirit
a balm of kindness
a salve of tenderness
as alcohol prepares
a muscle
the warmth spreading into the skin
followed with firm kneading
the fullness of massage
so
your words caress my soul
gentle kind sure in truth of how you see me
and I stretch full out basking in the love you
surround
me with
warm firm truth
knowing as never before
who I am
and in certainty who I can be
as I relax
in the glow
of
your
praise

Josephine,
This is absolutely wonderful! The feelings expressed by the pictures painted. There is a certain "pureness" within this piece.
A further collection of poems, many from years in the Middle East, but also the California San Francisco and Central Coast areas (Santa Cruz, Carmel, Big Sur, Berkeley, etc.).
