moon beams
called me awake
bright clear illumination
pure
in undiluted crisp night air
and I opened my eyes
in
wonder
deep breath of clarity
holding my hand in the rays
turning it over to cup
the
magic
in my palm pale and perfect
in the glow
jumping to the window
full face bright
dancing and laughing
amidst tall oak centuries
blue gray star speckled sky
