Seek Ye First

Mankind spends hours, weeks, and years

Setting goals, but achieving little

To satisfy body, mind, and spirit;

Commercials confuse the mind

Causing the spirit to feel

The body is inadequate.

So mankind in their moment of weakness

Succumbs to the pressures of advertising

Ends up stretched to the max.,

Frustrated, indebted, and sometimes even depressed

Thus a vicious cycle begins

With detrimental results which affect

The delicate balance of

Body, mind, and spirit!

This is when it’s best to seek out words  

That promises comfort and hope.

“Therefore, take no thought, saying

What shall we eat? Or, What shall we drink?

Or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed…?

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness;

And all these things shall be added unto you.”

(Matthew 6:31,33)
