The busyness of life is like a merry-go-round. If we're not careful, it can rob us of health and strength. What we need to do is...ah, shucks, if I tell you, you won't read the poem...so, have a little read. Then tell us what you think about this busyness.
Busyness By h. lena jones Day in day out Like a merry-go-round Hear the roar of engines See headlights and tail-lights Travers highways and byways Rushing madly to destinations near and far Overhead planes flit across sometimes cloudy sky Like birds migrating from country to country Seaports, train, and bus stations Exhibit the same busyness Throngs of serious people Charging to and fro Like foot soldiers On parade! This busyness If we�re not careful Can ruin precious family time And rob us Of our day of rest Where praise and worship Is bound to replenish Our weary soul! So, take time off to Rest and replenish; enjoy The wonders of God�s creation While there�s still strength And breath to do so! ��for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth� and on the seventh day He rested, and was refreshed.� (Exodus 31:17)

Right you are! A couple of years ago we too realized that precious time we could spend with our children was stolen by careers, now no one but the ones we care about gets too much of it anymore.

You are so right! I got caught up in that BUSYness! It did cost me my health. But the Lord spared my life. This gives me an opportunity to answer your comments about my poem, "Isn't Hate Awful. This is a part of the busyness thing, too. Anything that makes me change my plans becomes an enemy to me.
