What Draws Us Close By h. lena jones It�s exciting to read about Jesus� early ministry and miracles Set out in the gospels, particularly Luke His patient response when called upon Unhurried, yet reassuring, confident, enduring Even when rejected and asked to leave No argument does He ever make! If you and I were present back then We would stick like glue to His side Eager to learn, ready to feast Upon His every word We would marvel at the power Of this gentle man And long to be more like Him We would probably be quick to defend Him And point out to those who condemn Him That even demons recognize Him As the Holy One of God So what is there to doubt About His deity! What draws us close to Jesus? His positive, reassuring nature His gentleness and strength His genuine care and concern But most of all It�s because of His unconditional love For each one of us�even though We do not deserve it! ��Thou art my beloved Son in thee I am well pleased.� (Luke 3:22)

I could only pray that if I had been here when Jesus walked with us I would have been one of his chosen twelve. I could only pray it would not be Judas.

Everlasting Arms...to hold me when I am weary, and can't go on

Peace...that surpasses my understanding, in the midst of crises.

Hope of Glory...Jesus CHRIST, in me; proof I will share His glory one day!

Healing & Deliverance...Jesus, by Whom, every curse is reversed

Strength...I can do all things, through CHRIST, Who strengthens me

Love, love, love...Unfailing Love.

This could last for hours, Precious Lena, so I will just say thank you for your beautiful heart and faithfulness to our LORD.

Knowing that He will never leave me or forsake me, and also understanding that He will do so even in spite of myself.

Knowing that He is the One True Most High God, Creator of all, and everything else is beneath His feet.

Knowing He hears and understands every problem, and brain fart, we have, and He sends the answer even before we ask.

The list is extensive ... these were the first three that came to mind.
