As The Deer Pants – Dig #1

“As the deer pants for streams of water

so my soul pants for you, O Lord,”

Said David in Psalm 42:1

And so my own soul echoes

Those same words daily during devotions

And I keep on searching for truths

Never disappointed, always excited!

And to whom should I share my excitement

If not with you, my beloved friends

Here’s my first Theological dig

Pertaining to the deity of Jesus the Christ

For instance in John 8:58

Jesus said, “Before Abraham was, I am…” 

This made me stop and think about  

Moses and the burning bush in Exodus 3 verse 14

And what the bush said to him

“Thus shalt thou say unto the children

of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.”

This sent me digging even deeper

And I ended up in John 21:11

Where Jesus appeared to His disciples on the beach

And asked them to bring the fish they had caught

And the number of fish was 153

Letters in Hebrew also represent numbers

The letters within the two Hebrew words

Ani Eloheim means I am God

These letters when added together

Equal 153!

As excitement build, I turn to Matthew 1 verse 23

“Behold a virgin shall be with a child

and shall bring forth a son and they shall call His name

Em-mań-u-el

Which being interpreted is

God with us.”

What an exciting dig this has been so far

But wait, I’m not done yet
