Capharnaum (Capernaum) is nolonger an imagined place; for now I've stood upon its soil, saw the excavated ruins of the Synagogue where Jesus taught; and much more. Reading the Bible has a different impact now when I read it, for I no longer have to imagine the places, I can draw upon the memories of what I have seen. It gives me great joy to share my pilgrimage with you. Thanks in advance for dropping by.

Ruins of Capharnaum Suddenly realizing I was now living the Bible I gazed in wonderment At the spread of land before me As excavations revealed the past: Desolate now lies Capharnaum, The place where Jesus lived And did much of His ministry! If stones and ruins could speak, What a story they would shout: "Hear ye! Hear ye! Hear ye yet again! All foreign visitors to our land Jesus the Messiah, King of the Jews, And Redeemer of all, lived here for a time! If you really attune your ears and listen to your heart His gentle voice You will hear!" “And they went into Capernaum; and straightway On the Sabbath day He entered into the synagogue, and taught.” (Mark 1:21 KJV)
