Try as I might
to be the best I can be
and be "Miss Perfect"
but I face reality
I look and envy
I wish I could be "them"
They seem so together
it's almost bothersome
I've got what they got
I've got the potential
But that's not enough
I just want to be special
I want to shine, not
behind their shadow,
to be an ocean of influence
not a stream just shallow
I try, yes I do
to be like those people I see
But t'would be a shame
for those who like me for me

You know - it's really the ones who are able to recognize they're different that are the special ones in the world.
Just be yourself and most importantly, BELIEVE in yourself.
It's not always promised to be easy, but in the end - it will be the most fulfilling journey.
Being yourself is a most sought after achievement.
We all have treasures within us, we just have to have the fortitude to search for them.
It's quite the journey, but in the end, we are showered with riches.
