Your Gift



I stared into the endless void
One early winter night,
In contemplation of the stars
That danced to my delight.

Within the peaceful indigo,
Amid the calm of space,
Each blessing counted on a star
Became your gentle face.

Reflecting on the passing year,
I think about the gift
Your love and presence bring to me
That gives my soul a lift.

Throughout the years I’ll always keep
Your friendship in my soul,
And knowing that you feel the same
Will always keep me whole.
