New Year’s Reflection
The night is still, The music silent; Another year has flown Into the past.
It always seems Like yesterday That the old year was new, But it wasn’t one yesterday; It was 365 marching on Into history.
Celebrate your gains, Mourn the losses, But above all, reflect on Every moment’s lessons; Within them is The foundation of wisdom Upon which to build The upcoming year.
Very wise words for the new year. Reflection takes time, but it comes highly recommended. The Lord says we should meditate on His Word, too, one of the most beneficial things we can do with our time.
I like your style, Robert. Now I've read 4 of your poems and enjoyed all four.
