I can’t even tell you the method Behind the madness or the reason for it; The song in my heart is without a melody, And the harmony likewise took the day off.
There’s a poem in there somewhere, But I don’t know if I’ll write it.
I sat with you on the phone While doing my laundry; I hope I didn’t tire you out too much On my trips to the basement and back.
There’s a poem in there somewhere, But I don’t know if I’ll write it.
How does it feel to love a madman? I never did get a straight answer from you.
Maybe someday, I’ll stop being so mad and Go for something different, But at least I have something to do with my hands To keep from reaching into my head and Yanking the brains out Just to see if I could unwrap it, Strand by strand, And then see how long the thread would run.
WOW Robert you capture the madness so well with the stanza of yanking your brains out. I do beleive the poem is finished. :)
A joy to read you this morning.
Light & peace,
Joselyn
Very well done, Robert. I especially love these lines,
"...Yanking the brains out
Just to see if I could unwrap it,
Strand by strand,
And then see how long the thread would run."
Vivid imagery, a trademark I've come to expect from you and your work. Excellent!
Love,
CJ
A daunting task that would be,too hard to get it all back in Robert but certainly an original thought running in this poem.Glad you found this cute write in amongst your threads...good one!

Yeah, and it came out well-the poem is a madness we all feel-and when you love a madman, you love him no matter what:)
In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
A joy to read you this morning.
Light & peace,
