If I could paint this poem you’d be sitting next to me
Watching me write a tribute Rumi while we sat in ecstasy,
I’d put smiles on our faces this way no one could erase them,
and extend our arms so that we could catch chocolate covered raindrops and lighting bugs so we could chase them.
I’d sketch our unhappiness to the side, back somewhere in the background,
So when darkness appears we know it has faded slowly along with sundown,
The sky would be auburn orange, don’t worry about the shoes we took off,
We have to be able to run as fast as we can through the field of dreams along side Wilma Rudolph,
That’s only if I could paint this poem, we could truly be,
Colors of the rainbow sitting in the sky, for the whole entire world to see
Welcome!
The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help.
