...inspired by the photographer Weegee.
My Method of Illumination Mine is the flash. The shock of sudden light. Someone caught in some unspeakable act before there is time for tact. The clandestine scuttle of nocturnal roaches to that unseen crack. The cliche of a deer in the headlights-- fear's true face a portrait of wide pupils that bore through you. How brief and transient this flash yet I live for it as if each is my last.
