You want to be a poet. But perhaps it is only a fleeting desire to imprison what's fleeting-- the many moments of minutia that amount to nothing and to everything. You want to be a poet-- but perhaps its only your need to leave a fragrant dropping before your dust-- to capture the sun before its descent, declare your love before the damning of the dusk. Perhaps in the end it's all you trust.
