“Eyes, looking at me, who is this person I see?”
Ask the enigma who watches the one who one sees,
the one who knows better, we know;
whose mystery personifies our essence;
distances the observer;
scrutinizes thoughts and actions; incisive.
Voice, the one silent in speaking,
we hearken, dismissing sometimes;
whispering secrets unheeded to our detriment;
listening, the danger allays. We’re learning?
Allied is one friend we can trust – always – and must;
inside, a wise one uncanny resides.
Heart touched, one who feels what heed overrules;
emotions masters, allows only what one should:
would feed, aid and bleed for others;
however, not to one’s harm.
Spills over in expressing the soul’s imperatives:
loves, relationships, the creative arts.
The soul searches -- some times we answer ourselves, some times those answers come through someone elses creative museings. I like this poem very much.
