Experimental, spontaneous write, based on the first three words, my opening line.
Words are inadequate
yet all that we have
to convey what we feel
what we mean
what we must
through mediums of literary form
of verbal communication
our dreams visions opinions culled
from obscure interior spaces
places hard to reach and excerpt
express define and translate
to excite outside stimulation
emotional participation
recognition affirmation inspiration
shared identification
experience of vicarious thrill chill motivation
dance sing cry die inside
with music of language’s harmonic rhythms
so the meters tones notes
form spectrum colors and shades
in somber and lilting melodious strings
that textures tapestries weave
into maelstrom symphonic designs
of stellar artist-defining creative compositions
ground-breaking free form writes
magnum opus prize-winning works –
