Tenor sax playing
into the evening hour
Tender notes sweeten
love on my lips
fading into shadows
left unnoticed
by the eyes
of discontent
Lust lingers
gently on high note
moving her hips
to the rhythm of you
melting into backwaters
Rivers of pure intensity
drowning minutes
suspended between
ascending drumbeats
that project your name
entangled around
murmurs in the night
as dreams come easy.
This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses
the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given
day.
