Feel these eyes upon you
dissolving the distant image
of a creeping hand along legs
Legs I felt wrapped around
the small of my back
when your lips pressed
burning breath
up into the desolate
island of my mind
where love once
submit herself
belly up to winter
clutching a frozen memory
to the core of all intentions.
It only took seven seconds
intertwined with your arms
Before there came a flooding
river of melting emotion
through the open pores
of my skin
And she was free falling
through my mind
Alive again
mightier than ever
again
Moving faster
again
toward that image
I no longer
need eyes to see
but feel her presence
moving that hand of his
up legs
Legs that ran beside me
racing shadows of the past
through Santa Cruz streets
around every corners
and inside dim lit bars
blind to the everything of now.
