It is beautifully sad
the way you still walk
through my mind
theatrics on a tightrope
placing one foot
in front of the other
over a circus of confusion
lions lick blood
off their paws
clowns dance
with upside-down faces
all the pretty ones
you love to hate
wait for you to fall
out from the window
to my soul
just to watch
you disappear
through a rapid exit
memory portal
open mouths in awe
to the magic
of letting go
