There are times when my mind simply wants to reflect, absorb and do no more. There are times when to relax and admire all of Gods wonders is all I want or need. There are times when I find myself praying. I am asking God for nothing. I am simply caught up in praise. Watch autumn come and drink in the beauty as the air cools and the leaves begin to turn. Take some time to simply be satisfied.

Poem Artwork

I watch autumn as it comes and find myself in a state of dreamy meditation.

As I watch the weather my mind creates a picture of its own imagination.

It is a wonderful daydream, fantastic and visionary about which my mind proceeds to freely wonder.

I contemplate nature’s beauty; fantastic and visionary ideas are there for me to ponder.

My mind is lost in itself; absent-minded, abstract and daydreaming in consideration.

I meditate study and fall into a trance in my own preoccupation.

From all my pipe dreams comes the words I write; thoughts put on paper for your inspection.

I find my ruminating leads me to see and admire all of nature wonders in reflection.

It is a glorious state as if in a trance my mind is gladly lost in remoteness.

Upon its return to the reality of the day I find I am able to write of the wonders I witness.

Join with me; won’t you and let’s absorb all of Gods wonders and heed his advice.

Let us look forward in thought and in faith to the glory of his coming paradise.

Our autumns, here along the Gulf Coast of Texas, are not nearly as splendid as the autumns in Ohio that I remember as a child, but I love the season and my memories of the way it once was. After the long hot summer, watching the leaves change, even in memories or via TV coverage from the Midwest or Northeast, is truly a gift. God's glory is seen in so many ways.

Awesome writing, Lew.

Lew, even before I got to the last stanza, I was wanting to tag along into this wonderful relaxing time.

To absorb God's beauty and translate it into such an inspiring write for us is indeed poetry for the heart.

Blessings,
Kathy
