Listen to these words you who think you are wise

These are truly words that you should not despise.

Jesus said it and if it were not true he would not have  told it to you.

“God resisteth the proud and giveth grace to the humble; this is true .

He builds up the weak to make him strong but will cast down the proud for his motives are wrong.

When I was young I thought I was wise in the ways of the world and spiritually strong.

I have grown older and have learned that the wisdom of the world will be cast aside.

For world allows me no place where in peace I can abide.

It is only through his teachings that I find inner strength to endure.

It is not my strength but his that allows me to ride the rough seas till I reach his shore.

Do not congratulate yourself for your earthly deeds for indeed they shall pass away.

Carry his words with you always and live through him each day.
