One week ago they waved palm branches singing, “hosanna in the highest.

On this day they mocked him and beat him as he was being undressed.

They hung him high upon a cross and put a sign which read “King of the Jews.”

They crucified him with two robbers and tortured him with whatever they could use.

They yelled, “You are going to destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days…

How is it that you cannot come down off the cross so we can believe what you say?

They cried let’s see if Elijah comes to take him down from his cross.

Jesus let out a loud cry and breathed his last.  The sky darkened and thunder crashed as lightning streaked across.

It was then that the curtain of temple was torn in two and a centurion said, “This truly was Gods’ Son.”

He came to die for all our sins and now his duty had been done.

If any man believeth in the Son of God let him take up his cross.

To never know the wonder of Christ would truly be our greatest loss.
