My wife made a point during a recent conversation. Anyone who has to live with restrictions of any kind may take comfort. Maybe what Jesus meant when he said it is more blessed to give to receive is that the giver receives great joy in being able to give.
The True Blessing is to the Giver
Jesus said it is more blessed to give than receive
Understand this for I truly believe
That what he meant was give to your brother or charity
Brings more blessings to you for your generosity
To give to others gives the donor a sense of pride
Giving meaning to self for each gift you provide
It may be material things or it may be simple forgiveness
It may be in the form of friendship, tolerance or simple kindness
In reality many times the gift given is outweighed by the generosity
The offering may be understanding, mercy or any form of consideration might be
Understanding a brothers pain and relating with the sorrow he feels
It could be simply listening and identifying with his sad ordeal
These are all ways to give of yourself to sisters or brothers
These gifts give to you what it is that you give to others
