"All of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit." 2 Corinthians 3:18

*A man came to my door one day to ask me if I were saved* *He said, “If Jesus came tonight would you go to Heaven or are you by sin enslaved?”* *I deliberated how to answer him. Does he think Salvation is an instant thing?* *If he meant have I given myself to Christ and has he cleansed my soul of transgression* *I would have to say, “He is working on it. For me it is a lifetime decision* *My Jesus told me “He who endures until the end, the same shall be saved* *This tells me that my salvation comes from a lifetime of practice to improve the way that I behave* *So, today I am a work in progress fashioned at the hands of my Master* *He gives me faith and the courage to admit my faults and failure and to overcome any disaster* *Ask me if I’m saved and I will say, “Not yet,” but I know I will be* *And I will walk with Father, Son and Holy Ghost through all eternity* *How bout YOU?*

I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND WHERE YOU ARE COMING FROM BECAUSE AT ONE POINT IN TIME, I HAD YOUR SAME POINT OF VIEW AND THEN I FOUND OUT THAT I AND THE PERSON I WAS TALKING TO WAS SAYING THE SAME THING, BUT FROM DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES. JUST TO TRY TO EXPLAIN WHAT THE MAN MEANT...REMEMBER THE WORD OF GOD SAYS THAT '....BY 'GRACE' ARE WE SAVED, LEAST ANY MAN SHOULD BOAST AND THINK THAT IT IS BY WORKS...'. ON CALVARY, MERCY AND GRACE, THROUGH THE BLOOD OF JESUS WAS PURCHASED AND WE, WHO ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST AS OUR PERSONAL SAVIOR, BECOME PARTAKERS OF THIS 'PARDONING SYSTEM' THAT WAS WROUGHT FOR US. WHICH MEANS, NOT JUST FOR ONE DAY, BUT FOR EVERY DAY OF OUR LIVES, WE ARE INDEED, AS YOU SAID 'A WORK IN PROGRESS' AND EACH AND EVERY DAY WE 'NEED' GRACE AND MERCY TO CLEANSE US FROM OUR SINS. THE WORD OF GOD SAYS, 'NEW MERCIES' ARE OURS EACH AND EVERY DAY AND WE NEED IT BECAUSE WE SIN EACH AND EVERY DAY, BUT WE ARE 'SAVED' BY AND THROUGH THE BLOOD OF JESUS, EACH AND EVERY DAY. WHEN WE 'REPENT' OF SIN, WE ARE FORGIVEN, INSTANTLY. SO, I DO UNDERSTAND WHERE THE 'EVANGELIST' WAS COMING FROM, BUT I ALSO AGREE WITH YOU...YOU ARE NOT PERFECT(NO ONE IS) BUT YOU ARE SAVED...BECAUSE EACH AND EVERY DAY YOU ARE SAVED 'ANEW' THROUGH MERCY AND GRACE. I HOPE I HAVE MADE IT A LITTLE BIT CLEARER AS TO WHAT THE MAN'S QUESTION MEANT. I HAVE WRITTEN A SHORT STORY CALLED 'THE POTTER', WHEN YOU HAVE TIME...PLEASE READ IT AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK.
