My Dearest Friend

D.L. Moody once said this of Jesus: “A rule I have had for years is: to treat the Lord Jesus Christ as a personal friend. His is not a creed, a mere doctrine, but it is He Himself we have.”

He listens quietly as I vent my hopes, my fears and frustrations
He sooths my stressful mind and gives strength to endure my afflictions
His gentle nudge points the way when I am faced to make decisions
His voice is gentle and his words, liberating and full of loving devotion
He knows my pain and rejoices in my joy and shares my every emotion
 
This is why I tell you all that it is he who is my very best friend
For better or for worse, through thick or thin he stands with me till the end
He has forgiven me for my transgressions and retrieved my soul from sin
He leads me as I travel life’s road and will open Heavens’ Gates and usher me in
He is God the father and God the son and God the Holy Ghost
Thanks to him I will dine one day with Jesus Christ as my loving host

Keep sharing the message, Lew. Like you, Jesus is my all in all, for I'm totally surrendered to Him. And you know what Lew? He is always there when I call upon Him, and even when I don't, He directs me. How blessed we are to have this awesome Triune God who lives in us as the Holy Spirit. I would have it no other way. When we draw close to Him, He will draw close to us!
Whatever we do, we must do to His glory!

Jesus is truly a great friend to have. I remember in 2010 of all the sick experiences I had I felt his presence very strongly with me.
