Spring comes each year with a tender sigh
New leaves form on the trees
The grass starts to grow and it captures your eye
I see the spring flowers break through and reach for the sun
For now the cold winter is over, the rebirth begun
I welcome the sweet sound of birds singing as they feather their nest
All of nature awakens happily after a long winters rest
The beauty of springtime is hard to define
It is part of a cycle created by God’s design
Now comes Easter and Good Friday when we celebrate Christ’s death and resurrection
And springtime salutes this with its own restoration
Take time my friend to savor the beauty of spring
There are springtime poems to recite and songs to sing

And so the cycle of life continues in the hope that with each new birth, growth has transpired. But has it? We just have to take stock of what's happening in our world.
