Winefoolery

Was it the evening’s formal fascination aberrant

To the inebriant allure of a peppery

Petite Syrah

With intoxicating bouquet

Slowly sipped and savored

An omen of droplet lingering,

Vermillion imbued in pendulous cling upon the

Plump-valleyed crease of his lower lip

Delectably pouting beneath his salt and pepper bristle

Grown tantalizingly full and long at her request

She thirsts for that liquid glimmer

Teasing to be licked, kissed, imbibed

Savored sparingly slow…

Under passion’s salacious gaze

Lest it drip onto neatly laid pin tucks

Tailored, crisply starched and embellished with

Black-bowed silk and studded gold-onyx

Or would linked cuff absorb the drip

When those arms within were designed to encircle…embrace

The nip of her waist cinched and provocatively draped

In a subtle sashay of cabernet satin laying bare

Her strapless shoulders, a denuded champagne palette

For the tumble of diamond and amethyst gilded ambiance

Accentuating the viridian invitation in her flirtatious eyes

And the insatiable thirst

For his mesmeric midnight wine.

Taylor, such an incredible choice and flow of words; it reads like a stream tumbling from a wine glass. Truly one of the best poems I have read in the past year! Well done!

This poem is as mesmerizing as anything I've ever read. Your unique style and capacity to plant such deep emotional intimacy within the reader, through intense and impeccable imagery, is staggering. The words you have chosen and fitted together so lovingly are extremely effective in putting me there, within that highly romantic setting -making me yearn to take part in this cinematic vision of yours -to be that propitious object of your affection. How I love to read your work Taylor; you never dissapoint or cease to overwhelm the senses...and the heart! Ya really got mine pumping with this gem!
Love,
~Butch

TAYLOR!!! ... Forget Britney... YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN!! I have kept away from loggin on... UNTIL NOW!! Darlin, you just GOT IT!! A cross between 007 and Mr Darcy, what full-bloodied Jane Austen could RESIST the lush opulence in both texture and subject matter or the heady intoxication of this write. Talk about skilfully crafted... Every droplet magnified like dewdrops on a silk-haired leaf, this is UTTERLY gorgeous. And how you lead the eye, like a cinematic lens, from that magnetic pouting crevice down one body, across to the other and up into her eyes... I tell you, if I had ample bosom it would be fair heavin and poppin out me stays by now... just by reading the salacious yet oh so tasteful decor and sensual sentiment here. I'm breathless. But... please, PLEASE re-consider the title. Just my opinion, of course, but methinks you so underplay the full-on voluptuous and worthiness of this fantastic write by giving it a slightly "flip" title. Sorry if this is not on with you... but I love this just too much not to give full expression to my thoughts. Hope you don't mind. I hope others shout me down if I am just being dopey... Think perhaps I just need some smelling salts... or brandy, if you've got some. Bless you... and MORE please! :))

Oh Boy! You win with hands down tonight. The passion in this poem is elegant, long lasting and animated to a fine tune of the past. You write if though you were there. You must've devoured each memory...at one time.

Now, THAT'S a vintage I've never tried! (But would lov........!
Taylor, this one is surely at the top of your best. I was swept up in words, to become a card-carrying member of the party, for its entire length. Amazing imagery. (Or is it more autobiographical than we need to know?
You have given us a Monday treat... and that is rare!
The composition is, "Class," and that's enough for today.
