His sagging pants and oversized shirt

Give him away, he’s a wanna be

Strutting down the sidewalk with her low cut blouse

And heels so high they cramp her calves, she’s a wanna be

Speech filled with sarcasm and the slang of the day

Everything is, “like, yeah”, and “cool, man” another wanna be

Walk the walk and talk the talk, but not your walk or talk

Just another lost and lonely wanna be

They buy name brands they can’t afford

And say they like things that they really can’t stand

Telling others what they think they want to hear

Just wanna be’s, all in their sad little world

Wanna be’s all of these and more

Wanna be connected, in truth that is all

To find their nitch, someplace to belong

And folks who accept them, wanna be’s, we

I think this is a situation that will never be, in my day when we let our hair grow, wore ragged jeans and beads and smoked our dope...we thought we were all so origianal and yet we were just copying the ones we saw on TV.

I could not have said it better than Walt. So real and so sad that many have not been taught to see the beauty that lies within themselves. Excellent, I bow to our pen. PLB&G. <Mikii>

Pathetic is the wanna be. For never their true selves will they see. Slaves to fashion, to the scene. A wanna be's life is never serene. Driven by nothing more than a need to belong. Burned out before too long. What's left then but despair and a need to escape their nothing reality. Drugs or drink will be their totality. Lost in the dream of a wanna be.

Walt
