To change my Stars

Do stars chart my course, determine my life

Plotted out since the beginning of time?

Am I truly locked in to whatever they show

Battling fate as I travel this life?

I write and speak out

That this isn’t true ,

That we each write our own destiny

And what we desire we can have

But so much I observe,

In the human march

That folks just seem locked in

To the fate into which they were born

The poor remain poor

The wealthy play on

And middle class generations

Continually work fingers to bone

I fall into this as I in my life

Struggle on and on and on

Saying, “I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe”

As my being just plods on along

as we discover more about ourselves i.e. noetic sciences where all forms are merging - science, spirtuality, esoteric...we are finding evidence that supports this and other possibilities to the heavens above us..and we are never "locked" but amazingly able to self create our realities right inside ourselves! its fascinating to be alive in these times!

Karen I am not too sure about this for we both my husband and I came from poor families but were eager to have better lives and so that was what we concentrated for over the years and so it seems to have paid off. Thank you for sharing.

No doubt in my mind that The Power Is Out There, whether we are cogniscent of it or not... I believe that we are all very much part of the Great Unseen, BUT not that we are pawns in the hands of it. The mind is organised such that we can make anything seem relevant if we wish it to be so, but it is perhaps unhealthy to let our lives be RULED by such things and to "hand over" government of our living to what the Stars may or may not be saying. On the other hand, there is definitely design and organisation within that which occurs, it seems to me. This is a massive subject area and each person will have their own ways of interweaving what they construe as "fate" with fact. But we are always in charge and in control as long as we don't deliberately let go of it, I hope! :)) Your picture really sucks me in and seems very tactile and 3-D. Great stuff! K xx

Ah but the dreamers can dreamer and the poets can sing and if our fate, the stars, and a higher power combine with hard work...maybe one of us will succeed. Hope it's you or me.

Excellent poem to ponder Karen! I think we can change whatever we truly wish to, the problem usually is our environment and the difficulty involved in being so deeply entrapped in it.Sometimes the odds are overwhelming and we stop trying.

folks just seem locked in
To the fate into which they were born

It surely seems that way for many, yet ohers seem to forge their own destinies. Much Food For Thought here, Karen.

Good one to think over, Karen. I believe in destiny, but stars do have some impact.
Can't fight it, though. Ought to make th best of the cards played to you.
Hope the weather is clearing!
Love,
Becca~

I disagree; the poor do not remain poor, many of the poor climb out of that destitution. But is there always poor? Of course there are . . . There will ALWAYS be poor . . . To think of utopia is foolhardy I think . . . To try to help the truly poor is a kind thing to do, but wiping our poverty I'm afraid is a pipe dream . . . The wealthy do not all continue on being wealthy, some lost their fortunes, just as some poor make theirs . . . I tend to agree with you on the so-called middle class, however . . . Ain't that something? I out of three . . . LOL

Karen,

Thought provoking questions: is it a generational curse? Is it lack of education that keeps us in a holding pattern? Is it my attitude that needs changing? Excellent to read this morning, well penned.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
