The Winds of Change
Softly blow the winds of change
O’re the babe swaddled snuggly
Sleeping soundly now outside the womb
Where hours she slept protected
Joyfully blow the winds of change
O’re a small girl in pig tails on the grass
Spinning cart wheels hand over foot
Spontaneity and “happy” echoing in her laugh
Excitedly blow the winds of change
She giggles with friends over the cutest boy
And wonders in awe and confusion
That she has now become a woman
Contentedly blow the winds of change
Young Mother bustling day to day
School and work, and three squares a day
So much to do to keep family and home
Peacefully blow the winds of change
Her life in pictures adorn the walls
Wrapped in a blanket of memories clear
Her quiet smile soft as in her chair she sleeps
