The Cloudy Rainbow

Such a hectic start to my day

Left without my granddaughter’s lunch

Had to settle my students at school – then …

Off to retrieve the forgotten meal

Driving up the hill, my radio blares out

Kelly Clarkson’s angry, “Walk Away”

I glance to the east, up the Rocky Mountain peak

The colors of a rainbow swirled between cloud and crag

A softening then occurred within me

“Walk Away” disappeared into, “Lucky One”

In spite of my frustrated hurry,

I pulled over to stare

The moment soon over, I pressed on

Lunch delivered, grandchild hugged

Back to work

Rainbow moment not forgotten

...many moments...when the colors were different...apart...mishapen...until they all came beautifully together...and created a prism in one moment.
so many forget the moments...and in doing so lose...the color of life.
Thank you for reminding us Karen...

Thank God for Rainbow Moments! They are REAL and special. ALWAYS around exactly when needed, too. They are a supernatural and natural blessing and you have captured exactly how and why they show up... and more! TY Kate xx

Karen,

Those are moments you wish you had a camera with you but not having one makes the moment even more special and private. Peace, Love and Blessings Always, Paul.

Karen, I envisioned this all in my mind as I read it. So many times a day starts off in a wrong way, and a lot of times it's up to us what we do with it...how we turn it around. Sometimes it works...and for you, it seemed to work out perfectly, because you took the time to take a breath and view the beauty around you. Beautiful writing, Karen.

I love those moments when the foreboding becomes the foreshadowing of the day's dance being still our design.

You have such a gift to always see the good and light - I appreciate that about your work.
