Someday, it will be Your Day

It seems right that this would be true --don't really know though--for some, it never seems to be their day

Someday it will be Your Day

Someday you will see the rewards,

Of working to make other’s days work out a bit easier.

Someday you will surely reap the benefits,

Of all you have sacrificed and given.

For through it all, your heart has been true ,

In your soul only wanting what’s best

Your exhausted days of endless toil,

Will surely, someday, make karma believable.

Someday, life’s stresses will be lessened.

Instead of you always shouldering the load,

Having to force life to happen with your own sheer will,

There will be those who do for you.

Someday, it will be your day.

A day when your load is lightened,

When you no longer have to be so strong.

A day when others say, “Let me do that for you.”

Good message here, karen; virtue will be rewarded. Keep on loving and giving. Cold people, false people can never know true love, it's a state of mind, even a celibate monk can be a lover, live in love, and give out love. Seriousness is heavy, the heart needs to sing and dance, laugh and be merry, be light. But sorrow brings a lot of heaviness, too, when we see what people do to each other in the world. I could go on all night about this subject. A writer has to know sunshine and shadow, try to figure out why. Words, words, words are what separate us from the birds...but birds can fly..... I'm really rambling tonight. Thanks for sharing the gift of your poem.

You're right! For me your poem is a way of life, alrady!
In retirement, living in the mountains of North Georgia, I have a son and his wife who have me believing that it's a priviledge to care for my wants and needs. No, I don't have all that much inheritance to promise them. I love your poem, and believe that it will, come true, or is coming true for many of us. - Bill

One can only wonder sometimes, but I don't really have to worry about that anymore. Just church business; that can keep me going a lot, too! Seems that there's never enough workers to meet the needs of our community; our pastor was just talking about this very thing this morning at church. Great write, Karen!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D

A month from now Karla and I will be helping distribute food to needy people in our community; another way we can serve the Lord. :) We will be doing this one Saturday a month. Shall be fun! :)
