Hasty Judgement

You say I shouldn’t be so sensitive,

That I shouldn’t “feel” so much.

And that I cry far too easily, happy or sad,

My emotional response when deeply moved.

But that is who I am,

And what makes me the person I am proud to be,

A person who is empathetic,

Whose actions based on feelings,

Have helped many to find a light in their dark.

Remember as you criticize,

There are many ways of being in this world.

The way I am may not mesh with your way,

But, just as your innate qualities,

Direct you and give value as you live your life,

The same is true for me, and to all others just as well.
