Revel in Sunshine, Dance with Joy

I have clawed myself up,

From some pretty low places.

I have fought and battled,

And evolved to almost where I began.

For we begin our lives knowing life is magic,

As young children, we exist in the joy of being,

And we know the wonder and the miracle,

That the world we exist in truly is.

We believe that superheroes are real,

As are the monsters, under our beds.

We know if we don a cape, and shoot with our fingers,

We too have superpowers and surely can fly.

And we promise that we will someday save the world.

Or at least eliminate that pesky under-bed monster.

We know we are here for a purpose,

And we awake each day with the excitement of that mission.

And so on the dusty dirt roads of my travels,

Each step brings me back to those childhood truths.

That the universe was indeed created for me,

To revel in sunshine, and dance with joy as I go.

Though a ruck-sack in my soul carries secrets,

That along with me will one day be gone.

An imaginary cape holds dear the magic,

And the belief that I still might just change the world.

If we all felt the same, we might just be able to change this world.

Yes, Karen, I was with you all the way on this one, one of your best.

That innocence and joy some lucky people keep all their lives,
and it's needed more than ever for in some ways we're back
in the Dark Ages!

The moral watchdogs are are putting the fear of intimacy into many hearts, and The Blue Meanies are banishing wonder!

Oh Karen, you do by being here by your writes. You reach one person at a time and through the years you've touched many...You are changing the world, you just forget how many lives you've changed along the way. Love and hugs, Bonnie
