Priceless
Feel the cleansing of the warm spring rain;
Enjoy the pungent odor of the dampened earth,
Let the infectious laugh of a baby ring in your ears,
Or “I love you” fall from the lips of a child you love.
See humility in tears begging forgiveness,
And experience the ensuing embrace
Of that very forgiveness granted.
Feel the warmth of a blanket of memories,
(Made with love by a grandma you never met),
Pulled up to your chin on a frigid winter night.
Let the exhaustion from labor given in the pursuit,
Of a dream that you have molded with sweat and tears,
Wash over you as you bask in the realization,
That those dreams can never be bought or sold.
Relish all these and more,
That money and “things” can never replace,
For in relationships we all find true wealth,
And all that in life which is priceless.
