Springtime the miracle of coming into being,
So much to learn and do as the days fade into night so soon.
Innocence, joy and naïveté prevail,
And in spite of occasional setbacks and strife,
Chasing butterflies and being superheroes are of utmost importance.
Summer brings a settled state, into the rhythm and routine of life.
"Becoming" is what the days are about.
The art of being has a more frenzied state,
Making a name for one's self, with talents, jobs and offspring.
Then in the autumn of life,
We turn to deeper thoughts and deeds,
A sense of contribution prevails;
Of being part of something bigger than one's self.
As winters’ time comes, life's pace becomes slower,
There is now time to enjoy the harvests of a life,
And the desire to impart wisdom that others,
Are now to polite not to listen to.
Great pen, Karen!
Nice write.
Blessings on Your Day,
