Long ago You came into my heart,
I was a soaring eagle,
circling and circling above the earth,
never tiring and in no way weary.
Nothing could come against me; I knew You.
I felt no fear; You provided security
and love to bestow.

My doubts turned into faith,
my strong points and talents flourished,
I reached out to touch others lives.
A smile, a nice compliment, comes from my lips.
I rejoice in knowing You're by my side,
guiding me to reach out along my journey.

Knowing I'm Your child;
You'll be in my life until Your return,
Your word teaches, be watchful of the evil one,
he's shrewd and controlling but,
You're my song, my strength, my Almighty,
for You walk daily by my side.
