Life's a tornado speeding out of control,
coiling and winding throughout the soul,
Darkness swells to swallow the light,
leaving a body trembling with fright.

A soul fears to steal another step,
weary of failures...maybe a slip.
One day it's clear and everything's alright,
obscurity creeps in to pass on a plight.

Robbing the spirit from the heart,
roots insecurities, melancholy...rips it apart.
The spirit struggles to keep a rock-solid mind,
nothing satisfies allowing the mind to unwind.

In the blink of an eye, a life can be stolen,
as the devil's wickedness tears down its soul.
He'll snuff out a life...in a matter of time,
He'll walk on it like it's nothing but slime.

A life must take heed and remain in command,
not allowing Old Satan to seize the upper hand.
Life is delicate and can be torn apart,
if it doesn't examine the mind and the heart.
