I'd Love To Soar

I'd love to soar...

I'd love to soar like an eagle,
over mountains, down in valleys, across clear lakes,
keen eyes viewing this magnificent earth,
sitting perched in a huge nest,
caring for my young,
delighting in their movements,
and readiness to fly with me on journeys.

To float and dip amongst the clouds,
watching animals creep across meadows,
seeking out a fish in a lake,
an animal to catch for a meal,
being the eye and the ruler
of the birds of the forest.

To flap my mighty wings,
showing a robust breast,
piercing eyes,
a beak razor sharp,
showing off a proud white head,
colorful irredesient feathers aglow.

I'd like to soar...soar...
just once...with the eagle,
to feel the gracefulness it portrays
to the world.

You allowed me to soar for a bit while reading your words. Isn't that the blessing in a vivid imagination? If it was your dream to soar, you accomplished that. Great write!

O, yes, dear Barbara, to soar like an eagle!
And with this lovely poem you have, indeed, soared like an eagle. And you've taken us with you!

What wonders He has wrought since first He gave you the gift of pen.
We are so blessed to share in your magical words.

God's love be with you.
Richard
