Written in memory of all the Americans who have been killed on American soil during attacks on our Country.

In a blink
clouds of smoke and destruction
stole their existences...loves, futures,
swallowed them into mounds of fine particles
twisted steel and masses of ruin
snuffing them out with the destruction,
leaving only memories in the hearts of loved ones.

But,

their atoms blew in the wind
seeped down into the deep
absorbed to live in America's soil
survive in our seas
their native land
becoming an integral part of their homeland.
