When you feel there is no one who cares remember God's door is always open...
I came to God's door,
empty, full of aggressions and anger,
rapping on the doorway,
skepticism blossoms, an air of arrogance flourishes,
jolting my enormous sense of self.
Am I worthy to enter God's Kingdom?
Have I waited to long to be welcomed?
My load's painful and my life's a squander,
years away from Him have been long,
bursting with transgressions and callousness.
The entryway opens,
outstretched arms reach out to encircle me,
God's voice says, "Enter my lost one, welcome to my home,
come; come dine with me my wandering one,
I offer you forgiveness, faith, hope, and love."
I can't imagine why I missed this glorious composition dear Barbara. Thank God for His open door policy. Praise His name that we have access to His throne day or night.
"my enormous sense of self." Yes this was me in my twenties. Remembering that man made me shiver. We all still struggle with self though; living inside this failing flesh has its challenges doesn't it? Exceptional writing based in the Truth of Gods word.

A wonderful write that is full of beautiful wisdom, it's amazing how when we surrender all to the Lord, how that life becomes much easier, the weights of the world become lighter, and everything has a newfound beauty...I think that the spiritual vision, is one of the things that I appreciate the most, as also the forgiving as well as giving heart and spirit....a great write my friend, you've expressed it well!

Barbara, this poem inspired me to never give up hope. Even at God's door we are welcomed with open arms and given forgiveness, faith, hope and love. I truly enjoyed this.
