A Chill Doesn't Faze Me

Our hands release...

His blue eyes search my mind,
trying to unfetter my heart...
yearning a glimpse of my emotions.
I recoil from his stares...
fumble the buttons on my blouse,
shake a leg in a nervous twitch.

He tries to study my awareness,
sits down offering a wide smile...
I look up into mysterious eyes,
a chill runs right through my body...
offers a newspaper to read.

I straighten my skirt...moisten my lips,
stand up with an outstretched hand...
introduce myself and thank him.
His hand is warm and his grip strong,
chills run right through my body.

Our hands release,
sweatiness hangs on my hand...
like a part of him is left behind.
I want to extend my hand...
reverse the missing remnants.

You can read so much from a person's motions and the look in their eyes, Thank you for your words.

BRILLIANT, Barbara. This is stunningly visual and arousing of all our emotional energies as well as we are easily led to participate in this encounter. So vivid and cinematic. And I'm sure we can all relate! :)) I am actually so shy that I even apologise to and fumble with the pillars in a supermarket if I chance to bump into them! :)) I am total water with flesh and blood... Andy will tell you! :)) Love, Kate xx

Intimate encounters, energy touching energy, eyes seeing eyes, Barbara, if you had no connection with this man, you would never have reacted, let alone write a poem about this. So know, that you met a soul that was familiar to your soul, and you acknowledged it...It wasn't time for these two souls to converge, so now, let it be a very fond memory, and when the time is right, either in this lifetime or another, your souls will meet again and perhaps that will be the time of fireworks and love and all that comes with a connection of the soul level.

I enjoyed your poem, as usual, and I look forward to more.

Peace, Love, and Light,
Amber "V"

You developed a great character. Not everyone finds a meeting with a captivating person easy. Some would want to back out. Great show of feelings. Victor
