Life's a tornado speeding out of control...

Life's a tornado speeding out of control,
winding throughout the soul.
Darkness swells to swallow the light,
leaving the body trembling in fright.

A soul fears to steal another step,
weary of failures...maybe a slip.
One day it's clear and every things alright,
obscurity creeps in to pass on the plight.

Robs the spirit from the heart,
roots insecurity, melancholy...tears it apart.
The soul struggles to keep a rock-solid mind,
nothing satisfies allowing the mind to unwind.

In the blink of an eye, a life can be stolen,
as the devil's wickedness rips down its soul.
He'll snuff out a life...in a matter of time,
then walk on it like it's nothing but slime.

A life must take heed and remain in command,
don't allow Old Satan to seize the upper-hand.
Life is delicate and can be pulled apart,
if we don't examine our minds and our hearts.

A great reminder...and a wise write my friend, for the word tells us that he is as a thief in the night, seeking whom he may devour and that he comes to kill, steal, and destroy...too often many allow him to get the upper hand and before they know it, he has robbed them of their joy. A very wise write indeed! Enjoyed!
Blessings,
Joyce B.

I agree with Victor, life is always a struggle between good and evil, I have always told our children if you fear the outcome then you know it is wrong. Thank you for sharing.

You speak of living and spiritual warfare as one who has had her share of postive and negative experience. I wonder - when all is said and done - if the good times, and the bad times, we experienced in our lives, were half and half. I am convinced that the Holy Spirit is always there with us watching out for us and never letting us experience more than we can handle. Enjoyed this! Blessings ...

We are the captains of our ships, how we sail them is up to us. If we don't heed warnings, we'll go down with the ship.

Life is a continuous struggle between good and evil. We all have our ups and downs. What is important is that we should get up when we're down. Victor

Say Something Terrorible v3 by RickthePoetWarrior

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
