Friend, I woke this morning with you on my mind,
you came to my rescue...yet, another time,
you never turn any of my requests down,
come with a smile and never a frown.
You pick me up as I shut everyone out,
telling me jokes to end my pouts.
You never complain or fail to hear me out,
act like you don't hear and want to shout.
God sent an Angel chose only for me,
one knowing my weaknesses and my needs.
Your halo glows bright every day,
allows me to enjoy everything you say.
You may not wear a glittering white robe,
but you shelter my misery...this I know.
You're an Angel God chose only for me,
you're my hands and eyes when I don't see.
You're a sweet Angel, one of a kind,
strong, truthful, faithful, one hard to define.
I envy your praiseworthy traits...
know things I tell you are safe.
I thank God for you my friend,
our love is as pure as the wind.
God smiles upon us every day,
knows we've bonded in a special way.

Brilliant capture of a unique relationship that both enters into our frailty and transcends it, Barbara. Would that we could all appreciate our Angels in such a close and tangible way! Your Friend comes alive for us here, and I love the telling detail that (s)he may or may not be wearing a glittering white robe. And I love the ambiguity of whether this Darling is celestial or corporeal!! Hopefully both! :)) Very touching write, thank you. Kate xx
Barbara this is a powerful and a beautiful proclamation of friendship. Friends in the heart are like family, you love them and treasure them. Loved reading this poem gives such a warm feeling along with reminding us just how blessed we really are when God gives us that very special friend~yes they are like angels. Wish everyone knew this sure would help if they felt the way you do in your heart~such splendor!
Love the concept of a "guardian angel" in this piece. A friend of friends so no one ever has to be alone again, extremely lovely and so very heartfelt....
You are a woman with deep spiritual conviction and insight into human nature. Yes ... I truly do believe that Angels are assigned to those who believe. Very inspiring dear Barbara.
Blessings ...

The subject of "An Angel Without Wings" must be a wonderful friend. You definitely paint them as one, and you certainly are lucky to have a friend like that. I bet you reciporcate 100% and are an angel too.
Under Amber Skies, written by author and poet Jill Eisnaugle, is a wonderful collection of rhyming poetry guaranteed to please every reader. In this, her second book, she writes of new friendships kindled, as well as old friendships solidified. She g
Robin Ouzman Hislop's poetry is certainly in dialogue with some of the key architects of the 'poetics of indeterminacy' – both the Modernist strands represented by the likes of Beckett and Stein, and the postmodernist strands represented, initially,
