Slowly I wake with a stretch and a yawn
Many hours since the morning dawn
Still tempted to sleep a bit more
In hopes from my mind other dreams will pour
Sleep last nigh came so late
Preparing my heart to open it's gate
Doing this let out all the old pain
Now to be filled with only love again
Around the drapes the sun filters in
To waiste more of this day would be a sin
A quick shower and a comb through the hair
At the closet to pick what clothes to wear
To late for breakfast so lunch I will eat
A hearty sandwich of cheese and meat
Laundry to do and then off to shop
Will be late in the day before I can stop
Even with much time to play
It is still going to be a wonderful day

Isn't life wonderful when we have more pep in our step? When life opens a door, the first energy of light that peeks in is like a shot at the beginning amd then you're off.....rounding the first curve...taking the back stretch like a shot in the dark...rounding third and ...

Just remember...ya can't make it home till you take your foot off of third.

I love this verse.

I, on weekdays sleep till 11am, as I do not go into work till 2pm, but I still on weekends sleep in later, if possible...I could be a Gold Medal winner of sleeping, if that were an olympic sport...LOL!

(I see you traveled by motorhome, I have yet to go too very far, Florida to the south & at most Missouri to the west in my 89' Southwind, but now live full time in NJ in my motorhome...in the older days they were NOT built for winter living...;) Ed & Rufuz

Beside Still Waters by Jill Eisnaugle

Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
