I had a detail response almost written, and my computer jumped out of this site (well not literally). I am going to simply state, your poem left me with mixed feelings. Your writing may be too deep for me to totally understand. It did make me ponder and I will simply state my feelings without as much explanations. Parts of me felt sad, and without hope, I thought of extinction of some life forms and others continue to produce offspring to live and then die. The last four lines gave me more hope for a happy life. "Doors with windows" made me think of someone looking out but never venturing outside their safe domaine, only to watch others interact and truly experience life, and if one is willing to take a chance it may lead to a better life, a real life, and not one based on fantasies and dreams. As lomg as one door is open and you have a choice...why bnot take it. Your pen says it all. Everyday we open some doors and close others always hoping we let the right people in.
