A little something to hum on the job
Anthem I’m proud to human I’m proud to be alive We live all around the world And we live here with pride We gotta be strong We gotta be free Won’t be a slave To the company This world is ours It’s here for us to share We gotta take it back From those who think it’s theirs We gotta be strong We gotta be free Won’t be a slave To the company They put themselves above us They think we’re fools Run it like a circus Makin’ all the rules We gotta be strong We gotta be free Won’t be a slave To the company If nobody works Nothing gets done Leave it to the jerks And there won’t be none We gotta be strong We gotta be free Won’t be a slave To the company This world of ours Is made by me and you By puttin’ in the hours You know that it’s true We gotta be strong We gotta be free Won’t be a slave To the company They export our jobs Do it without a care They lie, cheat and rob And tell us it’s fair We gotta be strong We gotta be free Won’t be a slave To the company They send us off to war To defend liberty Our soldiers travel afar Spreading tyranny We gotta be strong We gotta be free Won’t be a slave To the company They hand you a ballot They check off your name Feel like a harlot Votin’ more of the same We gotta be strong We gotta be free Won’t be a slave To the company The system really sucks They got us by the balls You can’t change your luck Playin’ by their rules We gotta be strong We gotta be free Won’t be a slave To the company It’s your choice To save the ones you love Raise your voice And push when they shove We gotta be strong We gotta be free Won’t be a slave To the company To fix this mess Here’s how it’s gotta be Do your level best to turn ‘I’ into ‘We’ By George C.
